What’s New? – Fired & Fused

What’s New? – Fired & Fused

Helen Agius-Andreae and her husband Frank accidentally found their passion in fused glass. Now, years later, they own a shop in Farmington that sells beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces as well as offers workshops where you can build your own creation. More than a glass studio, Fired and Fused is part of the community. Helen and Frank need their neighbors’ help to make an art installation at a local park possible. Stop in, try something new, and leave a lasting impression on your community.

Margi Mason, owner of Mrs. Mason’s Co., has opened her seasonal business, with brittles and bon bons  available online and for local delivery. The company, based in Royal Oak, offers beautifully packaged brittles finished with chocolate, nuts and dried fruit – an addition Mrs. Mason’s was the first in the country to combine with brittle. New or revived flavors this year include red, white and blue with nuts on top, apple crisp and black mac. Order by Dec. 19 to receive items by Christmas.

What’s New? – Papa’s Kitchen

Christina Kalfaian, owner of Papa’s Kitchen, based in Troy, and Katie Maxwell, community development manager for The Pink Fund, told us about their three-year partnership. For every bottle of Pink Greek Papa’s Kitchen dressing purchased, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Pink Fund, which helps breast cancer patients with household bills so they can focus on their treatment. Papa’s Kitchen is available in the produce section of local markets and is also available online.
