Last July, we featured the Troy based international electronics company, Sonic Alert Inc.  The company’s products are focused on the deaf, hard to wake, and elderly.  Here’s the link to that article; https://localbiznews.net/sonic-alert-in-troy-keeping-you-safe-entertained-aware-and-awakened/.

The company has announced the release of their SS125BT Wireless Vibration Alarm. After multiple years of research and development, Sonic Alert took its first wireless vibrating alarm and made it completely wireless.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator Thomas Zimmer said, “With the release of our SS125BT Wireless Vibration Alarm, it marks a significant achievement for our company and unique development for our industry. There’s nothing like this product, which is the universe’s most powerful bed shaker and can alert you to text messages, phone calls, and Gmail when you allow these notifications on your phone. You can also set alarms to go off directly from the app. Our product stands as the king of all vibrating alarms. Functioning on all different types of cell phones, this product’s battery can last six months when used every day or two years when not used every day.”

Some features include:

  • User-selectable alarm duration from 15 seconds to 10 minutes
  • User-selectable snooze time from five to 30 minutes
  • The user can choose the vibration strength and pattern

“The story of our company began with our founder helping a senior close to his heart, his grandmother,” Zimmer added. “We continue to endeavor to make the lives of our customers easier with each new product we create.”

Birmingham
With 20,000 commuters on Maple Road in Birmingham daily – and often slowed in traffic there — the themed, decorated windows of the St. Croix Shop (managed by retail dynamo Victoria Knight) are drawing the eyes of those drivers and of pedestrian shoppers.
“What’s so great about being in Birmingham,” Knight says, “is we have that built-in audience! With eye-catching displays, we razzle-dazzle and delight customers going by. For example, they see our renowned chenille scarves creatively displayed in our Thanksgiving-themed window, and we’ll sell seven in an afternoon!”

“We’re not mandated by a mall, so get ready! For us, it’s lights! Trees! And a festive destination for local holiday shoppers.”

Birmingham’s St. Croix Shop Shares History and Gives Back to Museum – and Clients

Birmingham’s St. Croix Shop Shares History and Gives Back to Museum – and Clients

The St. Croix Shop, recently re-situated – and thriving — in downtown Birmingham (in the Art-Deco Wabeek building, designed by Albert Kahn in 1928), is hosting a “Give back to the Birmingham Museum” fundraiser September 28-30.

“I came up with the idea of a fundraiser from my St Croix clients who shared stories of Birmingham back in the day 30 years ago or longer and since our store is part of a historic building I wanted to incorporate the History of What Downtown Birmingham Was to What it is today by creating a fundraiser to Give Back to the Birmingham Museum. Plus I want my clients and the community to know how special Birmingham is and gain an appreciation of local history through the years of the town St. Croix is honored to call Home.”

In addition to introducing its new, fall line, The St. Croix Shop will have a photo display from the museum, and clients will be offered a discount on purchases of regular-priced merchandise in exchange for a donation to the museum.

St. Croix Shop Has Finally Moved to its Home, Sweet — and Historic — Home in Birmingham

St. Croix Shop Has Finally Moved to its Home, Sweet — and Historic — Home in Birmingham

“It’s been a journey to get here, but we’ve arrived, and here we are,” said St. Croix Shop manager Victoria Knight at the Friday, May 4, soft opening their new, permanent location at 268 W. Maple Road in Birmingham, just a couple of doors east of where their temporary, ‘pop-up’ shop had been.

“We’re in an Albert Kahn historic building that had once been a bank and, with the full support of our corporate, property-owner’s, contractor’s, and city of Birmingham’s crews, we’ve come full circle as part of this community’s evolution, now serving clients – many of whom are bankers and businessmen, themselves –  and embracing all of Birmingham.”
